Why The Enemy Wants To Shut Your Mouth
Why does the enemy want to shut your mouth?
Your words have power. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:21 King James Version (KJV)
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. When your words go out into the atmosphere of this world, it is the same as when God said let there be light in the book of Genesis or when Jesus told Lazarus to come forth out of the grave. The enemy wants to kill the sound because the sound of victory tears down the walls of lies of the enemy.
When the high priest would go into the holy of holies at the bottom of his garment there were bells and fruit. As long as he was moving there was a sound being projected by his garments. If he stopped moving and there was no sound, that let the people know the high priest was dead, and they would drag him out by a rope that was tied around his ankle. If there was no sound, they knew they were in trouble. When there is a sound the enemy knows he is in trouble.
When you lift up a sound of praise and worship walls will come down the same way they did for the Israelites when they marched around the walls of Jericho. David spoke to Goliath, he challenged him. You declare to your opposition that you have the victory. You don’t hide from it, you don’t run from it, but you face it. You can’t conquer what you won’t confront. The enemy wants you to look at your problems and back away in fear and silence. The enemy wants you to look at your past and be weighed down by fear and condemnation. The enemy wants you to look at the storm going on and get you in your feelings so he can cancel out your faith. If you walk in faith, he knows you will step off the boat of safety into the supernatural.
The enemy knows that if you ever stepped off the boat of worrying what people thought about you, your testimony could bless so many. The enemy knows if you ever got the courage to speak to and confront your giant you would find your crown on the other side. The enemy knows if he can’t get you to stop walking around that wall before that seventh day, you are going to get your blessing. He is throwing everything he can at you to hinder you from walking into what God has for you.
You can’t allow the enemy to run rampant in your life. You have authority and you must use it to tell him to stop in the name of Jesus. You must use your voice and say I will praise, I will shout, I will press on, I will win, I will overcome and speak life to yourself and over your family. Then realize the Bible says we overcome by the words of out testimony. Don’t allow anyone or anything to stop you from declaring your testimony. When you feel down and out, testify about all the other times God has got you through. When the enemy comes in from every side testify about all the other times the enemy was defeated in your life. When you see lost people hurting and lost testify about what God did for you. Don’t be embarrassed or ashamed. Put the enemy on blast. Let people see the scars and wounds and declare to the world, yes, I might have gone through some ugly trials, but I am still here. I might have been through a wilderness, but I am still here. I made of got hurt and betrayed but I am still here. I might have had some disadvantages, but I am still here.
The enemy is scared of someone who is willing to do this. The Bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. You need to remind yourself of what the word of God says about you, and what God has brought you through and in faith declare it over your life and over anybody else’s life you come into contact with. Fire is contagious and the enemy is trying to put yours out. Imagine with your mouth that you can set a fire to the enemies’ camp. You can burn down the walls of lies and insecurity. You can burn down the walls of sin and shame. You can burn down the walls of fear and doubt, just because you choose to speak life and truth. I challenge you today to speak life over yourself, your family, and to everyone else around you. It doesn’t matter what it looks like, or what you feel like, God is fighting on your behalf. I dare you to lift up a sound of praise right now today. I dare you to lift up a sound of worship right now in the darkness. I dare you to shake the gates of hell with the words of your mouth right now today despite how you feel, or what your past looks like. You have power on your side so declare it with your mouth. Do not let the enemy silence you. The enemy knows if you speak life your mind will transform. If you speak life souls will be encouraged. If you speak life walls will come down. If you speak life doors will open. If you speak life generational curses will be destroyed. I challenge you to speak life. I challenge you to be loud with the sound of victory. Be bold with the words of your testimony.
